A whole lot of randomness....

Here's a few pictures from our daily life lately.  These kiddos keep me busy, no doubt about that! :)

Grocery shopping is quite the scene

Yup, they stand on the table.  Again, they make me nuts.

Typical dinnertime at our house- Makenna in sunglasses, and Maya covering her ears so she can't hear anyone talking to her

Father's Day

We are so thankful to celebrate Father's Day today.  We are thankful for the wonderful fathers in our lives, and also the wonderful father that Andy is to our kiddos.  We spent the day relaxing and spending time together as a family.

We love you, Daddy!  Thank you for loving us, playing with us, and being a Christian example for us!

sidewalk chalk

We've had a lot of fun playing with sidewalk chalk lately!  Not sure how Andy feels about his nice driveway getting all messed up, but it's nothing the rain can't wash away :)

Early birthday present

Kaden got a few early birthday presents this year.  His birthday list included a new bike (more to come on that later) and a new scooter.  It just so happens that he has a summer birthday, but all of the grandparents wanted him to get as much use out of his birthday presents as possible.  So...... thanks, Grandma Rysdam for the scooter!  I LOVE IT!

Playing in the dirt is fun!

We have a lot of dirt around our house.  We have no yard yet, so it seems like dirt and mud follow our kids into the garage and house.  It's awesome.  However, it doesn't stop the kids from playing.  They sit down and play in the mud just like it's one big sandbox, and they don't even care that they're getting dirty.  We've designated some clothes as dirt clothes, and shoes as dirt shoes, and everyone is happy :)

Kaden has loved all of the action and moving around of dirt piles, but I'll admit, I'm ready for some grass.

Yes, he is sitting in fresh mud/dirt in bare feet.  He went right into the bath.

Kaden and his friends playing on the sand dunes in the new section of the development.  This is a favorite for sure!

Makenna is in her glory!

Ready to dig!

Blessed, everyday life

Sometimes it's the everyday, ordinary moments that make me realize how blessed I am.

Yes, my kids drive me nuts.

Yes, they are crazy.

Yes, they drive me crazy.

And they make lots of messes.

And fight.

And destroy things in my new house.

And yet......

I love them more than anything.

I'm blessed to share in these crazy moments everyday with my kiddos.

Baggies.  Lots of them.

Apparently they've reverted back to crawling.

Clearly Makenna is not happy that I wedged her and Maya into a regular shopping cart.

Yes, Makenna.  Those look better on your head than your legs.

Hold on a sec, Mom.  I have to text my friends.

Boy twins in the house!

What?!?  That's not how I'm supposed to wear these?!?

Brookfield Zoo with twin mamas!

Yesterday we made a day trip to Brookfield Zoo in IL to meet up with some of my twin mama friends from IN and WI.  It was fun to meet them in person after getting to know them and sharing twin stories (and clothes) in a FB group for twin mamas for awhile now :).  We packed everyone up and drove down there first thing in the morning and met up with everyone.  We had such a fun day getting to know each other better, getting lots of comments on all of the twin girls, and letting our kids play together.  Oh, and I guess we saw a few animals, too! :)  We of course had to stop at San Fratellos again for dinner, along with a stop at Baker's Square for some pie :).  The kids did great, once again, and they all conked out as soon as we got on the highway.  Looking forward to many more fun day trips together as a family, and more get-togethers with our twin friends!

Ready for the road trip!
