Kaden graduates from Preschool!

I can't believe my little man has graduated from preschool already!  He has had such a wonderful year with Miss Michelle and Mrs. Doreen at BCCS.  Even though it was a lot of running around for such a short amount of time, I know we'll both miss our MWF preschool routine.  He loved everything about school.  The social interaction, crafts, songs, Bible stories, snacks..... everything.  He's more than ready for Kindergarten, and I can't believe I'll be putting him on a bus three days a week next year- oh.my.

His graduation day was a bit of a whirlwind for me.  I was in NJ for my grandfather's funeral that morning, and caught a plane back to MI just in time to make it to graduation at 6:55pm.  Wouldn't have wanted to miss this event for anything :)

Walking in with his class

And this is when he had his meltdown.  He gets nervous in new situations and in front of large groups of people, and when you combine that with me being gone for a couple of days plus who knows what else... you get a meltdown during the performance.  Andy rushed up there and rescued him, and managed to talk him into going back up again later.

Children's Museum

Today I ventured out to the GRCM by myself with the kids.  We have a membership there, so I love that we can just buzz in for a little bit and not feel like we wasted any money.  I also love that the exhibits keep changing- it gives Kaden something new to look forward to!  This was my first time taking all 3 kids by myself knowing that I'd have to let the girls out of their stroller.  Everyone did great, though.  The girls lasted for awhile in their stroller while Kaden played, and then all 3 of them enjoyed the new construction work area.  It was a great way to spend a Friday morning.  This will definitely be on our top 5 things to do this summer!

Kaden's class trip to FMG

Kaden had his final field trip of the year to Frederick Meijer Gardens.  I'm glad I could go along to join in the fun (thanks for watching the girls, Kristen!).  I always enjoy watching Kaden in different settings.  He is so quiet and reserved when he is in a school setting, which is crazy to me, because he's so different when he's at home.  He had tons of fun, and I think he enjoyed time with just Mommy, too! :)

Tball!

Kaden started playing t-ball last weekend.  He's only been waiting 4 years for this big moment! :)  He was so excited to go and pick out new cleats, a new glove, and he had everything all laid out the night before.  His first game went well, and the more he plays, the more he gets the hang of it.  He's actually pretty passive when it comes to sports, even though he LOVES them.  He takes it all in, and does what he's told.  So far he has shown a lot more interest in baseball than he did in soccer, so it will be interesting to see which sports he really gets into.

My brother and his girlfriend came to the game this weekend to cheer him on, so since he was on photo detail, I decided to steal his photos and make my post a lot easier.  Thanks, as always, for the fabulous photos, Brian! :)

Love that face- haha!!
